Error 3194 When Updating to iOS 5

I’ve been frustrated for a while because thus Unknown Error 3194 keeps popping up whenever I update or restore my iPhone 4. So I’ve rummaged the internet for answers and only figured it out after three days.

Warning:
This is a tutorial on how to get rid of the Error 3194 only. I have no knowledge on how to fix the other errors. Search first and learn more about iOS 5 to know more about it,

STEP 1:
Connect device, close iTunes.

STEP 2:
Download TinyUmbrella

STEP 3:
on the Advanced Tab UNCHECK Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit.
Close the window.
Restart your computer

STEP 4:
Open your iTunes.

STEP 5:
Enter your iDevice on DFU Mode.

HOW?

1. Press the home button and sleep/wake button at the same time.
2. After 10 seconds, release the sleep/wake button but keep pressing the home button.

Your computer will then recognize your iDevice and will restore it to the latest version, on this case iOS 5.

YOU ARE DONE!

Nothing much in here yet.
Check out the new Videos app.
And iPod app is now named as Music.
I love the new Reminders app though :)
And at last!
We can now group out photos into Albums!
The famous notification center

Good luck on this one!
If this tutorial worked (or not), I’d be happy to hear back from you ☺
