Butterfly Effect 2 (2006)
A guy familiar with his migraines learned about his abilities a year after his accident. He wanted to change things and he didn’t realize what these changes meant. He got sidetracked by money, power and revenge. In the end, he had to make a choice.
I loved The Butterfly effect with Ashton Kutcher. It was mind bending that really makes you think about the scenes. With the “Oh..” and “ahhs” at the right places, the story line was presented clearly.
I never even knew there was a Butterfly Effect 2, so I carried on. With those in mind, I though the Butterfly Effect 2 would have the same impact on me, but no. Its story was unoriginal, though I understand that the main concept was to go back in time and mess things up, the scriptwriters should have come up with a fresh story. On the second thought, they shouldn’t have produced it at all. It felt like they ran out of creative things to do for the movie and it was a sloppy photocopy of the first movie. It was boring and short, unlike in the 1st movie where they had shown a number of different results because of the changes Ashton made. Well, I don’t think you should waste your time with this movie, it’s not even kid friendly.
